What is an Emergency?
An emergency is a sudden illness or accident—any unforeseen medical problem.
- Allergic reaction
- Inability to urinate
- Inability to get up or walk
- Breathing difficulties
It has been our experience that symptoms described over the phone cannot always be properly interpreted. An examination of your pet is the best way to help identify any problem.
Call us at 541.385.9110 if your pet displays any of the above symptoms.
When are we open?
The Animal Emergency is open nights, weekends, and all holidays, including Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
All patients are seen on a first come, first service basis. Critical patients are triaged and immediately evaluated by a doctor. The first responsibility of our Emergency Center is to render immediate treatment of life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The urgency of all treatments is determined by the clinician on duty.
Rest assured that your pet will be treated as soon as possible. Every effort will be made for your pet’s comfort and safety until it has been treated. Please call before coming to the Animal Emergency Center. This allows our staff to be prepared for your arrival.
On-site Blood Testing
Our on-site blood testing equipment delivers results in 24 hours. We don’t have to wait for a testing lab to get results back to us for your pet’s diagnosis.
We have two on-site oxygen cages for patients who are in need of supplemental oxygen. Theses oxygen cages help your pet to breath easier and in some cases are even life saving.
Our Innovet digital x-ray machine gives our doctors the total picture and the ability to pinpoint problems with greater accuracy than traditional x-ray machines.
